Depending on the condition of your play equipment you will find we have a program to fit your needs. If your equipment is fairly new and in good condition then our "SafePark Safety Program will help to keep it safe and beautiful(please see the details below). If your equipment is older and the paint is faded, peeling or chipped and maybe showing some rust. If your safety surfacing (sand, wood chips or poured in place rubber) needs replaced or restored then our "SafePark Restoration Program" (please see the details below)will be the answer. With the economy the way it is you need to watch every dollar in your budget, but at the same time keep your playground safe and attractive. By being proactive with inspections, maintenance and repair your equipment will last longer, avoiding costly replacement and keep it safe which will help protect against possible litigation. Pressure wash and scrub equipment with antibacterial cleaner. This not only sanitizes the surfaces for your child’s safe heath, it also cleans and brightens all plastic and metal components. We also remove all gum and stickers. All sand and debris will be cleaned from all joints, corners and edges to expose any possible maintenance/repair needs or hidden hazards. Recommend quarterly service

 

Pressure wash and scrub rubber safety surfaces with antibacterial cleaner to remove embedded dirt, sand, food, gum, soft drinks and foreign substances. This not only cleans the rubber it helps to exposed potential problems that can be corrected before they be-come dangerous or costly. Recommend quarterly service

 

Seal rubber safety surface with a colored polymer TopCoat. This process will not only revitalize and extend the life of the rubber by protecting against damaging ultra-violet rays and reducing the amount of rubber granules that are worn off by normal use. TopCoat also incorporates a “Cool Touch” agent which reduces the temperature of the rubber surface and an Antimicrobial agent which helps to protect against the growth of microorganisms and bacteria.

 

 Loose Fill Sand/Wood Fiber we will dig test holes in various locations to check for the proper depth of loose fill. We will rake out the loose fill safety surface to level out kick outs (low spots) under the swings, slide exits and other areas where use displaces the loose fill. In addition we will go over the loose fill safety surface with a metal detector to locate and remove metal debris or small metal toys that may cause injury to bare feet. We will also visually inspect the play area for broken glass and any other foreign materials or debris. Recommend quarterly service

 

Perform a comprehensive safety inspection and maintenance. The inspection pro-vides playground owners/operators information on the current condition of existing equip-ment and the play area; it also identifies hazards and maintenance concerns. It provides expert advice on the need for repairing and/or replacing equipment. The inspection will be performed by a Certified Playground Safety Inspector in good standings with the National Playground Safety Institute. Also at the time of the inspection we will perform routine preventive maintenance. This will include tightening loose hardware and lubricating moving parts Recommend quarterly service

 

Prepare a detailed inspection report which will include an easy to understand inspection summary, with digital pictures and recommendations for addressing the hazards and maintenance needs that are identified during our inspection. We are available meet with staff on-site to review the inspection report. Also based on our findings we will recommend a SafePark periodic safety inspection schedule that will not only help to keep children safe but will also be an invaluable tool for defending potential litigation. Perform a comprehensive safety inspection/audit.
The inspection provides playground owners/operators information on whether the equipment meets the current ASTM 1487 and CPSC safety standards. It also addresses the current condition of the equipment and the play area in general. It also identifies hazards and maintenance concerns. It provides expert advice on the need for repairing and/or replacing equipment. The inspection will be performed by a Certified Playground Safety Inspector in good standings with the National Playground Safety Institute, the National Recreation and Park Association and the California Park and Recreation Society


Prepare a detailed inspection report.
This will include an easy to understand inspection report, with digital pictures, written description of the findings along with recommendations for addressing hazards and maintenance needs that are identified during our inspection. We will meet onsite with the owner/operator to review the inspection report. Based on our findings we will recommend a plan of action for the refurbishment of your playground. Our report is a very valuable tool for the success of your playgrounds future and will also be an invaluable tool for defending potential litigation.

 

Metal Components: We will pressure wash the structure to remove loose paint, dirt and debris. Wire brush to remove rust and any remaining loose paint. Treat rust with a rust inhibiter, sand all surfaces to be painted, apply primer to all exposed metal and apply with brush and roller two (2) coats of Dunn Edwards Enduro-Gloss oil base enamel, color to match the original colors as close as possible or color(s) of the clients choice.

Plastic Components: We will wash all plastic components with soap and hot water to thoroughly clean all surfaces. Remove stickers and graffiti. (some graffiti penetrates the plastic and will leave shadowing). Use plastic a welded to repair minor non structural cracks and smooth rough areas. All plastic components will be treated with 303 Aerospace Protectant, which is the World’s most effective UV screening product. It restores and helps maintain a like new appearance and repels dust.

 

Rubber Safety Surfacing, Poured in Place or Mats: We will repair damaged areas and seal with “TopCoat”. TopCoat is an advanced water based coating developed for restoring and preserving rubber surfaces. It is considered a “Green” product and safe for the environment and our children. TopCoat contains a Cool Touch agent which blocks infrared rays from the sun and dramatically reduces the surface temperature of the rubber surface. TopCoat also contains an Antimicrobial compound that to help suppress the growth of order and stain causing microorganisms and bacteria’s such as staff. TopCoat has a storage life of 3+ years so repairs or maintenance is as easy as opening a can and applying to match your existing color. Top coat is guaranteed for two years.
